September 24, 2023— Plan ₿ Forum, one of the Switzerland’s biggest Bitcoin gatherings, puts a new twist on its traditional format. This year, Lugano’s Plan ₿ is partnering with Bitcoin FilmFest, a unique project set in the heart of bitcoin cinema, to create an extraordinary blend of education, innovation, and the magic of films.

The main conference days, October 20th and 21st, will be complemented by the exclusive Bitcoin Cinema Room. This exclusive space offers its guests the opportunity to enjoy various shorts, animations, and trailers from upcoming Bitcoin-themed films, and engage with filmmakers to discover the possibilities of the new artistic space built around freedom cinema and independent films.

Furthermore, the conference has expanded its program to include Sunday, October 22nd, which will be entirely dedicated to the Bitcoin film industry. This immersive experience will include screenings, presentations, panels, debates, and more. Attendees will have the chance to see two world film premieres by Bitfinex – “Don’t trust, verify”, “Rabitchat: Elodie Jallet” – along with a few exclusive trailers of upcoming films. One of these trailers is “Fight for the American Dollar,” the latest production by Pierre Corbin, whose first documentary, “The Great Reset and the Rise of Bitcoin,” has been steadily climbing the charts since its premiere in January 2022, becoming one of the most-watched Bitcoin documentaries. The new project, which sheds light on the relationship between the developed world and the developing world, and explores how global institutions have gained control over our global monetary system, sounds very promising and has the potential to become one of the most significant film productions in raising financial awareness.

Other exciting films such as “Bitcoin in Cuba” by Joe Nakamoto, “Stranded” by Alana Mediavilla, and two abstract dynamic animations by Richard Reel in cooperation with Anatomy of Bitcoin will also be showcased on Sunday, adding an extra layer of richness to the agenda for this day. In addition to these films, organizers are planning a few captivating presentations, live interviews, panels, and open discussions with the creators of the showcased films.

The collaboration between this year’s Plan ₿ Forum and Bitcoin FilmFest aims to cater to both experienced Bitcoiners and beginners, as well as those interested in financial freedom and cinema. With more exciting announcements to come, the conference promises to have attractions for everyone.

About Bitcoin FilmFest:

Bitcoin FilmFest is a unique project that debuted with the world’s first large-scale Bitcoin film festival in March 2023. Since then, it has expanded its mission, going beyond just the festival and becoming a platform that connects bitcoin film-, movie-, video-makers together with producers and investors, as well as cinema enthusiasts.

As the heart of bitcoin cinema, it serves as an important platform for the independent film industry, playing a vital role in its development. It also promotes active education and encourages conscious Bitcoin adoption, which can consequently have a positive impact on our financial sovereignty and freedom of speech – two essential elements in today’s world.
