This is a viewpoint editorial by Mickey Koss, a West Point graduate with a degree in economics. He invested 4 years in the infantry prior to transitioning to the Finance Corps.

It might appear counterproductive, however in my last 4 years serving for the U.S. Army, I’ve basically been a consumer service professional, whether it’s attending to pay problems in the military pay workplace as a leader, or attending to travel or budget plan concerns as a comptroller in a functional system.

Of late, I’ve discovered myself asking more concerns of the consumers than they’ve been asking of me. I’ve pertained to recognize that lots of people don’t truly understand the problems they are experiencing. And, since of this dilemma, the concerns they ask me when looking for help might not yield a response that in fact fixes those problems. I’ve pertained to recognize that a big part of my task has actually ended up being revealing the real problems, so that I can repair them at their roots.

Therein lies a typical thread I’ve discovered with “orange pilling” and mentor individuals about Bitcoin. Much like the soldier who approaches me, asking a concern that doesn’t rather make good sense, your loved ones might be asking you odd concerns also — without a genuine understanding of what problems Bitcoin is attempting to fix.

As stewards of the Bitcoin area and de facto ambassadors to our circles of associate, I see the Bitcoiners’ function as comparable to that of a customer support specialist. People don’t understand the financial system, not to mention the problems they deal with within. (Insert the potentially-overused example about asking a fish about water here.)

Instead of responding to concerns blindly and taking them at stated value, I challenge you to dig a little much deeper next time. Help your curious pal understand what they are asking. Help them discover the problems they didn’t understand they appreciated. Help them ask the ideal concerns. Otherwise, they might never ever get their problems resolved.
